Philips BDP7500 Blu Ray Player
The Philips BDP7500 is a blu ray player with a very nifty feature I haven’t seen on any other player to date. When widescreen is enabled what happens is the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen are removed. However the problem with this is that most sub titles are actually shown in this area.
What the Philips BDP7500 does is allow the user to move the sub titles on the screen to an area that is still in view. If you’re like me I actually thought this wasn’t a big deal, that was until I watch Angels and Demons recently and a lot of the foreign speaking sections need sub titles. Wish I had this feature on my player!!
Philips Blu Ray Player
When playing blu ray discs the Philips BDP7500 will deliver full 1080p high definition images at cinema quality 24 frames per second. This is also backed up with uncompressed surround sound for that extra edge.
If you have DVDs then this is not a problem either as the Philips BDP7500 blu ray player can play these as well. In fact the up-scaling feature on this player will even improve upon the image quality your getting at the moment.
USB Compatible Player
Another facility that the Philips BDP7500 player has is a USB slot to play media that is stored in electronic format. This can be things such as music, photos, and even films as the BDP9100 is DivX compatible.
Not only does this facility now make playing your media faster but it also means you don’t have to keep burning files to blank discs either.
Philips BDP7500 Style
Like most blu ray player the Philips BDP7500 has that sleek black finish and minimalist style. The LCD screen on the front isn’t massive but all the information can be played on screen anyway. It also might be just a small thing but this Philips player also has the traditional disc tray that pops out the front which is easy to use.
Finally the Philips BDP7500 is BD live ready which means it can access those online extras movie makers add to blu ray films.
