There seems to be three models in the 1600 blu ray player range by Samsung called the BD-P1600, BD-P1620, and BD-P1650. Now either I’m being really daft or for the life of me I can’t see any major difference between the three. I have even run the comparison chart on the Samsung website for all three Samsung players and still nothing major stands out.

So I’m going to take a punt and suggest that if you’re just looking at one of these players then go for the cheapest. If you want a specific feature then you’re probably going to want a higher spec model anyway.
Samsung BD-P1600 Features
So now we have got that out of the way what lets have a look at the facilities you can get on the Samsung BD-P1600 blu ray player. Well for starters it is a blu ray player so it goes without saying it delivers full 1080p high definition pictures.
Also the Samsung BD-P1600 backs this up with Dolby HD sound as well to give exceptional audio too.
Optional USB Feature
The Samsung BD-P1600 blu ray player has two separate USB sockets that allow you to upgrade the player. This means that you can add features at a later date if you need them in the future.
One of the options you can add to the BD-P1600 is the Samsung WiFi USB dongle to get wireless capability. This means that you can get your blu ray player onto the internet without having to plug it in.
This USB socket can also be used to play music, video and display pictures straight from a USB stick. Often users have to burn these things to disc before they will play and with DivX compatibility it can play films as well.

Finally the Samsung BD-P1600 blu ray player is quite compact and is finished in a black glossy look. The front of the player is very minimalist and the disc tray is hidden away behind the front panel to give it that extra touch.
