One of the main reasons that blu ray players have been slow to take off is the price, as they were very expensive at first. Also, with the price of a Sony PS3 being cheaper than a stand alone blu ray player, most consumers went with this option.
Sony BDP-S360 Price
What most people don’t realise is that Sony actually subsidise the PS3 price as the games are so profitable. However, as blu ray technology becomes less costly, players like the Sony BDP-S360 becomes another option.
Sony BDP-S360 Player
One of the best features of the Sony BDP-S360 is its quick start mode which actually allows discs to start up in around 6 seconds. This is one of the quickest on the market and why the BDPS360 player is so popular.
With the capability of true 1080p picture quality and 7.1 channel surround sound this player delivers quality as well. It means that colours are deeper and brighter along with a cinematic sound experience.
The Sony BDP-S360 also has the ability not only to play blu ray but also DVD and CD discs as well. Also the precision drive HD technology will help get the most out of even bent and scratched discs.
It is also possible to keep the Sony BDP-360 up to date with firmware updates via the internet.
Sony BD-Live
Blu ray discs also give the user the ability to access extra content not only on the disc but online as well. However to access these online extras the blu ray player need to be BD-live compatible.
This is just what the Sony BDP-360 is as it has BD-live and also the ability to show picture in picture visual content as well.
Sony Bravia Compatible
Finally if you already own a Sony Bravia TV the BDP-360 also has the Bravia sync technology built in as well. This means you can set the player up and synchronise these products together at the touch of a button.

Thanks for the post. It is a great awesome player, though the prices of the Blu-ray discs are higher than that of DVDs, but, they are growing popular among the buyers due to the picture and sound quality. The blu-ray player with nice video quality and the interface is clean. I’d definitely recommend this player. The picture is gorgeous, especially when paired with a new 1080p, 120Hz LCD HDTV.
