Sony BDP-S370 Blu Ray Player Review

The Sony BDP-S370 Blu-Ray Player looks to be the model that will be eventually replacing the BDP-360 player. With Sony we always expect quality products and by the looks of things the BDP-S370 is no exception.

Sony BDP-S370 Blu Ray Player

With online content for Blu Ray films becoming more popular it is no surprise that the Sony BDP-S370 blu ray player is internet ready. There are two ways to connect this player to your broadband which are either via a cable, or if you buy the USB WiFi dongle wirelessly as well.

The Sony BRAVIA internet video service will also allow users to access online video and catch up TV services as well.

Sony BD Remote Feature

One of the most surprising features of the new Sony BDP-S370 blu ray player is a facility on controlling your player. Sony has added a feature that lets you control the player wirelessly with your iPhone or iPod Touch. To activate you need to have the WiFi facility activated with the optional USB dongle.

However if you use your normal remote the Sony BDP-S370 also has the exceptionally easy to use horizontal and vertical menus.

Sony High Definition

As with all Sony Blu Ray players the BDP-S370 will deliver excellent quality 1080p high definition pictures. With 24 frames per second and Sony’s own x.v. Colour for a richer quality image and better colour variation it really is good.

The sound quality is up there too as the Sony BDP-S370 also has 7.1 channel high definition sound as well.

One of the best features of the new Sony BDP-S370 blu ray player is how fast it starts up and gets to work. Some players have really slow start up but with a 3 second boot up this thing is rapid.

Overall the Sony BDP370 blu ray player is a great bit of kit and really looks the part as well. If you want built in WiFi then the BDP-S570 is an option but you can always add that with a USB dongle added on.
