Sony are renowned for producing fantastic blu ray players and this has been proven with previous models and the very successful PS3. So what new features have Sony fitted to the new Sony BDP-S570 Blu-Ray Player.

The new Sony BDP-S570 is one of the new blu ray players that now include the Sony BD touch remote control application. This is a brand new feature that will allow the user to control there blu ray player via an iPhone or Ipod Touch application.

Even if you don’t think you will use the new BD remote application the Sony BDP-S570 is still a fantastic player. The high definition picture is backed up with the Sony x.v. Colour and 24p True Cinema quality. This in simple terms guarantees the Sony BDP-S570 will deliver excellent picture quality.

As well as this the Sony BDP-S570 also has full 7.1 channel high definition sound to give a very crisp audio.

Sony Player

One of the major downsides with early Blu Ray players is the amount of time they could take starting up. Well the Sony BDP-S570 will put these old players to shame with a very fast 3 seconds boot up and 2 second tray eject time.

As with all Sony Blu Ray players they are all very easy to use with a simple menua system that scrolls vertically and horizontally. Also the Sony BDP-S570 player has a very seek minimalist finish and will sit in any home system very nicely.

WiFi Blu Ray Player

As new films are released on Blu Ray makers are starting to add a lot of extra content viewers can access online. Usually to access Blu Ray players need to be plugged into the internet which can mean more cables which isn’t good.

However with built in WiFi the Sony BDP-570 Blu Ray player can access these features wirelessly. Some players advertise this but an extra USB dongle needs to be added but this is built in already.

Overall the Sony BDP-570 Bu ray player is a fantastic piece of kit and doesn’t mean you have bin your current DVDs either. This is because it is backwards compatible and will even upscale them to deliver a better picture than you currently receive. There is even a handy USB slot on the front and 1GB of storage space built in as well.

    Sony’s BDP-S570 Blu-ray player is interesting.

    I thought after the BDP-S363 I thought that it would be a while before I saw the next generation of Sony’s Blu-ray players apart from the new 3D players that is.

    I have got further research to do on the topic when I have time.

    For example Divx HD.
