Toshiba BDX2000 Blu Ray Player Review

Well it was only a matter of time before Toshiba finally admitted defeat and introduced its very own Blu Ray Player. The reason I am saying this is as the pioneer of HD DVD technology it must have been a bitter pill to have to swallow.

Shame though as Toshiba HD DVD players were actually very good and had terrific up scaling DVD quality, which it looks like they have put in the Toshiba BDX2000.

So what do you get for your money with the Toshiba BDX2000 Blu Ray Player – well for starters it boasts up to 6 times better picture quality than standard DVD. This is delivered in full high definition 1080p and cinema quality picture.

Also as mentioned earlier, the BDX2000 Blu Ray player also has the ability to upscale standard DVD’s to 1080p as well. However this blu ray player will not play the older HD DVD discs that were also introduced.

Toshiba BDX2000 Sound Quality

As well as the 1080p high definition picture quality the BDX2000 blu ray player delivers exceptional sound too. This is via the compatibility with Dolby True HD as well as 5.1 channel audio sounds.

The Toshiba BDX2000 Blu Ray player is also BD Live ready which is an interactive feature that is now commonly found on Blu Ray discs. To activate the BDX2000 does need to be connected to the internet via a broadband line.

Once connected online users can then access things such as exclusive downloads, interviews and even alternate endings to films.

The look and feel of the Toshiba BDX2000 Blu Ray player is good with its sleek black finish and minimalist design. When you want to insert a disc the front of the player flips down revealing the tray behind which looks very cool.

Overall the Toshiba BDX2000 is a very good Blu Ray player and has all the spec and features we would need.
